What makes a Travel Agent a Travel Teacher?
Are you planning a trip? What kind of travel agent should you be looking for?
Not all Travel Agents are Travel Teachers. Some are only “order takers”. Like at a drive-thru, fast food restaurant – you tell someone what you want and out pops a ticket.
Maybe that works for an airline ticket, but for anything more, it is comforting to know that someone back home is concerned about how your trip is going and ready to help with any problems.
Necessary Travel Information…
A Travel Agent/Teacher will ask many questions to make sure that the trip you are planning is just the trip you’re looking for. We have traveled all over the world and know that there are many ways to see and enjoy it, but not all are right for you, we want you to have the best, well-planned trip ever!
Important questions you should be asked:
- Who is going?
- What are the ages?
- What do you want to see and do?
- Have you been there before?
- Did they make suggestions for other ways to go?
- Did you get information on accommodations?
- Method of transportation?
- Health tips?
- Packing tips?
- Money information?
- Seasons to go to the destination?
- Current political conditions?
All these questions and more should be asked before you begin the booking process. I love to teach clients about the world and how to see it before they leave it.
