Travel Agents are not dead nor extinct. We are very much alive and have a wealth of information to share with our clients. There are a lot of ways to see the world, but not all of them are right for everyone. Without a Professional Certified Travel Agent, people are on their own and that can be uncomfortable and expensive.
The crowds at all sporting events are over-the-top-enthusiastic!!! They come dressed for the “success” of their team or participant. Colored hair, faces, clothes and all sorts of banners. The yelling and cheering raises the roofs of the arenas or drowns out the engines of the cars and boats.
How many people do you know who work their business from home?
In 2003 when I moved my travel business home, I had no idea how many people in my neighborhood had home-based businesses.
When you picked the travel agent career, did you see the whole picture at the beginning? This industry is extremely complex and has so many different “pictures”. Even after scores of years, new pictures are constantly emerging. This is what makes it exciting and challenging. Every new contact becomes a new adventure and a new “brick” for your wall of knowledge.
Have you ever left leaves on your lawn in the fall? Then in the spring when you clean them up, you see new green grass underneath. At the beginning of a new year, people are talking about “turning over a new leaf”… I think they mean turning over an old leaf to see something new to develop.
