A Review of Los Cabos, Baja

The Three  Faces of Los Cabos are San Jose del Cabo, The Corredor, and Cabo San Lucas.

The Cabo area

Los Cabos at the tip of the Baja Peninsula, south of the California border, has become the playground for anyone wanting out of the cold of winter.   The familar Los Arcos where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean is nesting for many sea birds as well as the seal colonies.  Fishing is King down here with tournaments for catching the really big ones.

You fly into San Jose del Cabo.  This is the original town of the area and still has the “old Mexico” feeling with a central market, town square with cathedral, many restaurants and small shops.  At the water is a rocky bluff with some fabulous boutique hotels. A new marina has just opened close by.   The Corredor along the water is home to a multitude of championship golf courses and beautiful 4 & 5 * resorts with activities for everyone.  The newer development is Cabo San Lucas with its big marina, cruise ship terminal, bars, restaurants, hotels and easy-walking shopping area.

With the weather between 60 degrees at night and 80 during the day, this is the ideal spot to find a nice beach and work on that tan.  But lying around isn’t all there is to do.  Some places it isn’t safe to go into the water because of the severe undertow, but a

good guide will tell you where there is awesome snorkeling and diving.  Here is where the whales winter and during certain times of the year, they will put on a show.

Luxury properties with inviting spas are first class.  Many properties are all inclusive with  restaurants and bars.  Enjoy the night life at  top rated bars as well as Mexican fiestas with abundant buffets.

All ages can enjoy the Cabo experience.  Many resorts have kid’s clubs and teen’s activities giving the adults time to pamper themselves or go for golf at championship courses.

The best part right now is that Cabo is on sale with 40-50% off most resorts.  Book right now for the next winter getaway and take advantage of the savings for the whole year.  Cruise & Tour Planners has the package just right for you.  I can feel that sun now!!
